Communities We Focus On
MOSAAIC at San Francisco Bay Area is focusing on recruiting East Asian, South Asian, and Southeast Asian participants from three counties in the San Francisco Bay Area: Alameda, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties.
How Long Have We Been Recruiting
Stanford Medicine has been recruiting participants since April 2024 to assess barriers to participation and strategies for success for engaging Asian Americans. MOSAAIC at San Francisco Bay Area will start recruiting participants in December 2024.
Additional Information
Almost one third of the San Francisco Bay Area population is Asian American, over four times the percentage in the general United States population. Dr. Ann Hsing and her team are committed to representing these Asian Americans in MOSAAIC and collecting data that will help improve prevention strategies for this population.
